Committed to a great education.

Many of us who work in St John's School as members of staff, or who support St John's School as members of the local community are parents or carers of children ourselves. We know that starting school is a huge step for children and a sign that they are growing up. It is an exciting time for children and an anxious time for parents.

At St John's School we know that every child joining our school community is an individual with his/her own personality and strengths.

We are committed to the Essex vision of good education,

'....that every learner is entitled to a curriculum rich and varied, challenging and inspiring, which enables every individual to fulfil his or her potential to the highest possible standard, so that all for the benefit of all are able to shape their destinies and create a better world.'

Our school has eight classes, a recently re-furbished library and a large, well equipped school hall which doubles as a dining room. We provide a secure outdoor play area for the under fives. The Friends of St John’s, our Parent/Teacher Association, provide many exciting extras. We have extensive playing fields and two hard-surfaced playgrounds which provide ample space for outdoor activities. We have a well equipped ICT suite and an interactive white board in each classroom.
